My name is Julia Pavlovska Jilch.
I grew up in Odessa, Ukraine; and I speak Russian, Ukrainian, English and German.
I`ve graduated from Odessa National University where I studied foreign languages and world literature. My education helped me a lot in communicating with people from all over the world and getting acquainted with many different cultures. I lived in the USA, Australia, Cuba, Russia… and Austria.
I can tell you, every country is beautiful and special if you are eager to know more about it , its people and traditions. In every country I´ve been to, I met wonderful people and I learnt a lot about cultural diversity. Each place has something to offer. Having lived in Russia and Ukraine I was always surrounded by music; it was the great passion of my childhood. In Havana, I just fell in love with the beats of different music and dance... It was also the place where I finished school and met my best friends.
As I lived in NYC , near Manhattan, I was lucky to visit such wonderful museums like the Metropolitan Museum of art, the Guggenheim Museum and MoMA. It was there, in NY City, that I started to be interested in art , which became my another passion. In West Australia, in Perth, where I lived for some short period of time, I was amased by the beauty of nature and the art of aborigines which was absolutely different from what I saw before...
Then I moved to Vienna... I´ve found a city, which is a perfect combination of everything what I love: music, art and rich culture. I have been living here with my family for almost 10 years now and I must tell you, it is one of the most comfortable and beautiful places to live! I didn´t think much about what to do in Vienna, the decision to become a tourist guide came as a matter of course. It had taken me two years of intensive learning and training before I made all my exams and finally got the license.
I am a certified tourist guide now and I give tours in English and Russian.
I enjoy my job very much. I like sharing not only what I know but also my fascination about Vienna and my positive emotions. I will be happy to share them with you!
See you in Vienna!
